Writing

I like to write on the right page of my notebook. When I start a new one, the first page (which is always on the right) is fresh and satisfying. It’s not just the first page that has this property, but any other page not on the left. The letters are prettier on it, and even the pen writes better.

On the other side is the left page — the page that was once the right page, but isn’t anymore. The page on which you have already written and have to fill in the other side, because you can’t just skip it and waste the space. And if you write too hard, you can see the letters on the other side.

The only time the left page is bearable is when it’s over. That means the next page I’ll write on will be the right page.
